Alto Alentejo is a Southern Portugal’s region, where the unique natural landscape of Cork Oak Forests “The Montado” prevails.
It is also Wine and Olive Oil Country.
The Rovisco Garcia family estates follow the pattern of the region:

- They mainly consist of Cork Oak Forest, related activities such as the Alentejano Black Pig breeding and Hunting; Olive Groves and Vineyards.

From the Olive groove, next to the Maranhão dam, you can sight on the other side the historical village of Avis.

Near the village of Aldeia Velha and “Monte Novo” estate, where the Family House and the Office are located you can view the Vineyard.

The estates are run with a sustainability concern, seeking the conciliation of nature conservation with economic results.

Most of the land is within the “Natura 2000 Network”, making part of the European network of biodiversity and natural habitats conservation.
