OLIVE GROVE

400 olive trees per hectare, intensive irrigated olive grove.


HARVEST DATE | October and November


HARVESTING | Mechanical and hand operated picking machines.


POST HARVEST | Cleaning, washing and olive oil extraction within 12 hours from harvest.


EXTRACTION | Cold extraction by a continuos two-phase decanter.


FILTRATION | Non filtered olive oil


BOTTLING | Dark green bottles of  500 ml.

TASTING NOTES
With an opaque green shade, this olive oil impresses with its aromatic intensity marked by aromas of green fruit and grass integrated with the freshness of aromatic herbs.In the mouth it has presence and complexity, it is very fruity and well balanced with bitter notes and a spicy end where aromas of dried fruits are evident.


The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Herdade de Marcolos, Grande Escolha, won a Silver Medal at the Los Angeles Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition 2010!
